I promise to give you my very best work, but in order to do that I need a little help from you. This page will tell you exactly what I need you to do before the project begins and provide you with a few tips and tricks to help you help ME design my best work yet for your amazing business.

On this page you’ll find:

  3. The homework I need you to complete and the files I need from you before your project begins.

  4. A little info on Asana- the free and easy project management tool we will use.

  5. Some easy guidelines to help you provide really helpful feedback on your designs.

  6. Info on payment policy.

  7. And lastly, a look at what happens next after you’ve handed in your homework.

You just made the best decision to invest in a professional design.

Professional branding design makes you look and feel like a pro in your industry. It converts more customers and clients. And it helps those clients and customers TRUST your business more.

Go through this page and if you have any questions at all, just shoot me a message!

1. Communication & Timelines

My work hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Communication hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (we can meet outside of these needed)

To help keep your project on track to finishing on time, please provide feedback on your designs within 2-3 business days of receiving them.

I really appreciate your effort to provide files and feedback on time and to communicate within the times and days outlined above. Timeliness from both of us will help us get your project done on (or even before!) the deadline so you can move on to the next exciting task on your to-do list and I can cheer you on.

2. Design Process

  1. Homework (Questionnaire & Pinterest Boards)

  2. Pre-Design Consultation (I will create a visual mood board with images and colors to set the vibe and make sure we are on the same page)

  3. Logo Design (3 options will be presented with 2 rounds of revisions)

  4. Branding & Business Card Design (2 options will be presented with 2 rounds of revisions)

  5. Final Payment & Final Files

3. Here’s what I need from you to get the project started...

1. Create 2 Pinterest boards (1 for logo inspiration and 1 for color inspiration).

On Pinterest, create and fill a public board with inspiration for your brand. If you get stuck, feel free to pin from my design boards. Color. Brand Design.

Feel free to add anything that resonates! Color inspiration can be a nature photo that you like, it doesn’t have to be just color. Same with logos- you can save images of anything that resonates with your business.

Send me the link to your board when you’re done so I can see it!

If Pinterest isn’t your thing, don’t worry. You can search Google for images that resonate with the way you want your brand to feel and simply upload them to the ‘Homework’ task inside our Asana project.

2. Complete your homework questionnaire

Here’s the link to your questionnaire. It will help me understand your goals and style!

4. Project Management

Now you’re booked in my schedule, we’ll stop using email to have our conversation and we’ll start using my project management tool, Asana.

Here is a link to our project page.

I can’t wait to dive in to your project but before we do, I want to explain how we’re going to manage the project. We’re going to be using a project management tool I love: Asana.

What is Asana? Put simply, it’s a private space online where we can communicate, see each task the project includes, share design files and track the progress of your project. Basically, it’s where your project will live!

Why use Asana and not manage the project through email?

Well, email is messy. I want to make this process as simple and enjoyable as possible for you, and Asana helps me do that. By using Asana, all conversations and files will stay neatly organized in one place.

Quick Overview:

On your project page (I will send you both invites) you’ll see a list of all the tasks in your project. You’ll receive email notifications about the ones assigned to you and Asana will send you email reminders when they’re due!

Whenever I comment or add files to your project, you’ll receive them via email. You don’t have to log in to Asana to reply, just hit reply directly on the email within your inbox!

Lastly, if you want to access any files, simply log in to Asana and go to ‘Files’.

If you have any questions about using Asana, please feel free to email me and I’ll be happy to help you!

5. Feedback Guidelines

I really appreciate simple and straightforward feedback. It helps me clearly understand your thoughts and make the right changes to your designs.

Here are a few tips on providing awesome feedback:

- Try and use bullet points to break up your feedback.
- Use headers to organize your feedback.
- Read over your feedback to make sure it’s clear and check that you’ve answered any questions I may have asked.
- Post your feedback as a comment on the relevant Asana discussion instead of emailing me directly. Back and forth emails can get tiring but communicating in Asana is a breeze!
- I kindly ask that you gather all your feedback into one message. This stops everyone from getting confused and keeps the project organized.

6. Payment Policy

50% is due the day before we start your project.
50% to be paid within 30 days of completion of project

7. What happens next?

After you’ve completed everything in the Homework section of this page, we’re all set to begin your project! Before going into logo design, I will create a visual mood board with images and colors to set the vibe and make sure we are on the same page. From there- we will start looking at logos.

I look forward to working with you!
